Cut Your Own Real Christmas Trees – Open Weekends Nov–Dec 2025
We have tall cut-your-own fraser firs!
Ben’s Christmas Tree Farm is a family-owned choose-and-cut tree farm on 100 acres in Harvard, Illinois — just around a 1-hour drive from the Chicago western suburbs (Naperville, Aurora, Wheaton, St. Charles, Elgin, etc.).
We grow 8 varieties of real Christmas trees with no herbicides or pesticides: Fraser fir, Canaan fir, Balsam fir, Concolor fir, Norway spruce, Blue spruce, Scotch pine, and White pine.
Open the weekend after Thanksgiving through December 14. Wagon rides, hot chocolate, photo-ops with Santa, and saws included — bring the family and make it a tradition!
12/11/25: Our last weekend this year will be 12/13 and 12/14. We will have free tractor-drawn wagon rides this weekend due to icy conditions in the wagon lanes. Hope to see you out there - we have plenty of tall frasers for you to cut!
10/15/25: The 2025 calendar has been posted! We are excited to announce the official opening of our brand new field of firs this year, along with a return to a full choose-and-cut season! We were blessed with a wonderful growing season this spring and summer, and now have an excellent selection of firs (Fraser, Balsam, and Canaan fir) up to about 10 feet tall.
At Ben's, it's all about the trees. Starting with the finest quality seedlings, Ben has been growing and nurturing 100% hand-pruned firs and pines since 1982. We have thousands of trees in 8 varieties of firs and pines, from 6 to 12 feet tall. We use organic farming practices, and all trees are pesticide-free.
Our farm is located on over 100 serene, rolling acres in McHenry County, an enjoyable trip for folks from Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
